How to use the click counter
An online tally counter is a digital version of a handheld counting clicker. It adds one each time you tap, so you can keep a running total of people, items or repeated actions without keeping the number in your head.
Tap + for each item you count. Tap − to correct a mistake, or use Undo to reverse your last action. Add another counter when you need separate totals; their combined total appears below the counters.
Names and totals save automatically in this browser. There is no account to create or app to install. Your counts are stored on this device, with no cloud backup or sharing between devices.
People counter for attendance
Use a manual people counter at an event entrance. Keep adults and children in separate counters, then read the combined attendance. Tap once for each arrival, and use minus to correct an accidental tap.

Inventory counter for stocktakes
Name a counter for each item on a shelf. Keep separate stock counts for cups, lids or other items, and reset when you start a new stocktake. The totals record what you count manually.

Manual traffic counting
For a traffic survey, use separate counters for cars, vans, bikes and lorries. Tap the matching counter as each vehicle passes. Each category keeps its own total, alongside a combined vehicle count.

Questions about the counter
Is this tally counter free? Do I need to sign up?
It is free to use, including multiple counters and custom setup. No signup or login is needed.
Will my counts be saved?
Names and totals are saved in this browser on this device. They are not backed up or synced. Clearing browser data or using private browsing can remove them.
Can I use multiple tally counters at once?
Yes. Add another counter or choose a preset on the custom counter setup page. Each counter has its own total, and a combined total appears below them.
Can I undo a reset or removal?
Yes. Undo restores recent actions, including resets and removals, until you refresh or leave this page. Replacing a session from custom setup requires confirmation when it contains counts.
Can I use this digital tally counter on my phone or a wide screen?
Use the large counting buttons on a phone, or turn the phone sideways for the landscape layout. On a desktop, Wide view gives multiple counters more space. Fullscreen hides the rest of the page, including advertising.
How is a tally counter different from a click speed test?
A tally or click counter keeps a running total at your own pace. A click speed test measures clicks per second against a timer. This tool is for manual counting, rather than measuring clicking speed or generating automatic clicks.
How does keyboard counting work?
Select a counter, then press the up or down arrow to count. Plus and minus work too. Ctrl/Cmd + Z undoes an action. Shortcuts pause while you type or focus a control.
